Cody is loving high school!

I am so happy for Cody. He is loving high school! He loves the ROTC too! He is growing up on Pete and I and it's very hard to except. But I'm so proud of how he has really pushed himself with doing his best in school and the ROTC. He is attending seminary daily before school too. This past week another parent picked him up for seminary and Cody got up and gone on his own. I have been really impressed by this. He did have a motivator though. I've told him he can't go to the car show on Thursdays with his papaw if he can't get up and get to seminary on his own. Cody started a month ago going with his Papaw Ray to Pizza Zone for a car show. Cody enjoys riding in the hotrod and playing pool with papaw. He never forgets to call papaw on Thursdays. Last Thursday he wore his ROTC uniform to school all day. He gets a homework grade of 100% when he wears his uniform all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The rest of the week, the boys have PTs. Cody is so worn out when he gets home from school. He has been falling asleep early in the evenings. Pete and I took Cody to a stake dance last night. He had a ball and Pete and I had a ball watching him. The boys were given Blues Brother hats
and sunglasses. So, they all walked around with those
on and danced with the girls. This was Cody's first
stake dance and the start of many
to come, I'm sure.
