On Thursday, the boys started back to school. They've been dreading it for weeks. However, when it came time to go, Cody was up at 5 AM rarin' to go and we had no problems getting Lucas up either (besides the arguing over what Lucas wanted to wear). They both have had a great first two days. Cody is officially a high schooler. Boy, are we old?! Not to mention, Cody has noticed the girls. I'm so sad. But, he is a great kid and I know the next four year will bring lots of joy (and tears too). Cody has joined the Jr. ROTC. Today was his first day and he loved it! I do too! After school was over, the boys and I were in the library. Cody asked to go to a friend's house and I told him sure, after he went home and did some chores. He replied, "Yes mam." A few minutes later, I asked him to help move some boxes. He replied, "Yes mam." Then, he told me he'd take care of moving them and that I could go work on something else. Later, he was working on my computer and I needed it. When I asked him for the computer, he replied, "Yes mam." I complimented him on his wonderful manners. He replied, "I don't want to do twenty push ups. Hopefully, Cody will stay in the ROTC the rest of high school. I'm glad both the boys had good experiences the first few days. It's going to be a great school!
Christy! I'm so sorry for being so rude! You were right, I have been very buzy. Summers are crazy. I normally post every week but lately it has been every month. School starts here next week so hopefully life will slow down a bit. I didn't know you had a blog, or didn't remember. Sorry. But I love seeing your life and your kids. Your oldest didn't look excited in the picture for school to start. Your youngest did though. Isn't it always the way? The older they get, the harder it is to get them excited about anything. Thanks for wiping me into shape. I'm going to add you to my friends and family blog. Miss you hon. Hope you are happy!
