Why I love doTerra Essential Oils!

Recently, I have had the opportunity to learn about and try essential oils. They are amazing! I'm so excited about the fact that I am able to treat my family with natural medicines instead of ones that have all these side effects that come with it. I was very reluctant to try them considering the cost of the little bottles. Luckily, my brother had some free samples that he gave me to try and I was sold by the results. So, naturally, I'm sharing with my friends and family why I love doTerra Essential Oils. First of all, there are a lot of essential oils out there but none like doTerra. They are the only certified therapeutic essential oils, meaning they are guaranteed that each and every batch is definitely 100% pure, organic and free of synthetics. Second, even though there is not much in a bottle, you don't use but a few drops each time. Third, you don't have to waste a trip to the doctor and pay for gas, copays, and medicines that will cure the reason your going but give you other ailments from side effects. Lastly and most important, they work and are natural. Just a few of my newest finds with these oils are: wild orange works amazingly to heal mouth sores, lavender heals burns quickly and eases the pain as well, Deep Blue(blend of several oils) works great on everyday muscle and joint pain, and Breathe (another blend of oils) is amazing when it comes to congestion and coughs. These examples come straight from our family's experiences with doTerra essential oils. If you are interested in trying them with your family as well, my website is listed here on the blog to the right. You can find out more information there, as well as order any oils you would like to try. If you do order and find they don't work, just get in touch with me to see if I'm running low on that oil. I may buy it from you and save on shipping for myself. Also, if you try a few and love them too, I can enroll you in the program where you can buy the oils at a discounted rate. Just let me know and I can tell you more about enrolling costs. Wishing all my friends and family a healthier life!

New Years Eve

As always, we rang in the new year, 2014, with friends, family, food, and fun! Lloyd's family, the Costello's, Ray, and Katona came. Some of us played Storage Wars, Cody's new game. We watched the ball drop and counted down. The funnest thing we did this year was take comical photos. I'm attaching those for all to enjoy. Happy 2014 everyone!

Christmas 2013

Christmas time is such a special time. I love the traditions that it brings. One tradition we always have is attending the live nativity at a local church. Sadly, this year, they didn't do it. I hope they will do it again next year. I missed doing that with my family this year. Another tradition we have is making sweets and delivering them on Christmas eve. We did get to do this! Katona also got to come along this year. We visited with Sis. Weber, Sis. Laverne, and Timmy. I always love doing this. When we got back home, we opened presents. Mom got to spend several weeks with us so she was there too. I'm glad she didn't spend Christmas alone. Christmas day we had breakfast for Papaw Ray. Katona came too. Then, Pete, Lucas, and I went to Mamaw and Papaw Moores for lunch. Katona and Cody went to Katona's grandmas for lunch. Then, the day after Christmas, we had the Mintons at our house. Elder Ahokava and Elder Nelson came too. It was such a good time. Sadly, Christi couldn't come because she was sick. I hated that but understood. After we ate and opened presents, we all went caroling. I loved it! We went to Pete's grandparents and Sister Weber's. They were both so surprised and grateful to have us. I hated to say goodbye; we had such a good time. It's hard to believe that Christmas has come and gone again. I am grateful for my family. Here's a few pics from this special time of year.

Thanksgiving 2013

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Everyone was well. We had Papaw Ray and Katona over for a huge breakfast. Then, Pete, Lucas, and I went to Mamaw and Papaw Moores to eat lunch and dinner. Cody and Katona went to Katona's family for lunch and hung out at our house that night. We celebrated with the Mintons on Saturday. Everyone was here! The missionaries came too, Elder Nelson and Elder Ahokava. Katona was here as well. We all had a great time visiting. It was beautiful outside, so the kids got to play outside. I am so thankful for my family! Mom wanted pics. It took us awhile to get everyone together, but we did it!

Halloween Fun

We always dress up as a book character on Halloween at school. This year I was... Splat the Cat! It was purr-fect! I always dread dressing up. But after I do, I always enjoy it and have a good time with the students. The kids love to see the grown ups in costume! Since I was dressed up, Katona and I went trick-or-treating! We got to go to my good friend, Sheila's home. She and her husband have a big Halloween party and haunted house every year. I had never been. I had the best time!! I hadn't screamed or laughed that much in ages!!

Haddix is here!

There is a new addition to the Havens' family, Haddix Jasper Havens. Haddix is a red and white piebald, miniature dachshund. He was born July 28th, so he is now twelve weeks old. We have already fell in love with him in one day. He is definitely going to bring more life in the household. Heidi is already playing with him. They will be a cute couple some day!
