My Aunt Nancy passed away this past Wednesday, April 29th. She had recently been diagnosed with Lymphomia cancer. It was in stage 4 when they found it. She had been in the hospital for almost a month. The last time I saw her alive was Tuesday evening. I knew she didn't seem to be doing good. She wasn't responsive that day. Wednesday when I got to work, Pauline had sent word she had a bad night. So, I called Pete at home to tell him he might want to get up there and give her a blessing. He called a bit later to say he was headed up there with President Brooks. Then, an hour or so later, he called to tell me she had passed. Grandpa, Pres. Brooks, and Pete were able to give her a blessing before she passed. Yesterday was the funeral. It was a dark and rainy day. Pete, the boys, and I all went. Pete and my two brothers were pall bearers. It was a sad day because we had to say goodbye. However, it was a happy day in knowing she was well and finally with my dad and their mom and not in pain any more. I sure loved Aunt Nancy. What I remember most is her smile. Dad and her both smiled all the time. I'm glad I got to be with her quite a bit these past few years since she had started coming back to church. Pete and I were the only ones that ever took her to the temple. I know she appreciated that and we loved taking her. She will be greatly missed. This slide show is dedicated to my Aunt Nancy and the love she showed to all who knew her. This is for you too Dad. I love and miss you tons. Be sure and tell Aunt Nancy some good jokes.
