Dreams do come true!

Well, I've always wanted a piano and thanks to my mother-in-law, Brenda, I now have one. Sadly, her house burnt last fall and the piano was in one of the rooms that only received smoke damage. She didn't have enough room in their new home, so she gave it to me. I cleaned it up this summer and you can barely tell it was in a fire. There is a faint smell, but I'm not complaining. I love it! I took about three or four lessons when I was a teenager. Other than that, I'm self taught. Music has always been a passion of mine. I played the flute for over 5 years in band and that helped me to learn the piano as well. I'm now teaching flute lessons to four fifth graders. This summer I spent time practicing the piano, daily if I could. I love to play! I can sit for hours if I have the time, which is usually not the case. I've now learned to play 8 primary songs. So, I thought I'd share my newest talent with you all. I know I'm no where near a concert pianist, but it brings me joy to play. Enjoy! Oh, by the way, I sang some of the songs too, sorry. I do like to sing, but I sure wasn't born with the best singing voice.

Just wanted you to know, that dispite all the years of torture that you endured because of me, that I am in awe of the many wonderful things that you are accomplishing. I am proud of you and I know that Dad is too. Keep it up, and maybe the Motab Chior will call you soon as a substitue organist.
