Haddix is here!

There is a new addition to the Havens' family, Haddix Jasper Havens. Haddix is a red and white piebald, miniature dachshund. He was born July 28th, so he is now twelve weeks old. We have already fell in love with him in one day. He is definitely going to bring more life in the household. Heidi is already playing with him. They will be a cute couple some day!

Fall Break 2013

Fall Break was wonderful! We stayed home and enjoyed our days spent in a slower pace. I took Lucas, P.J., Zack, and mom to the Nashville Zoo on Monday. It was perfect weather! We had a great day. We went to Jackson's Orchard one day. P.J., Zack, and Lynette went with us. We had a picnic. Another day, we had a weenie roast and hayride. The Leach family came over for that. Sweet family! Annie and Natalie came too. It was so nice to sat around the campfire and visit.

Mammoth Cave

In September, we took Lucas and his best friends, P.J. and Zack Costello to Mammoth Cave. It was a beautiful day! We took a cave tour, had a picnic in the park, and walked a trail. So glad we went when we did. The government shut down the national parks the next week and we couldn't have went during Fall Break.

Father's Day 2013

The boys and I gave Pete a homemade book for Father's Day and took him to Ryan's to eat. Then we went to Gander Mtn. and the Mall. Everyone was in a good humor which was nice. Pete and I went four wheel riding that evening.

Cody graduates!

Our Cody graduated! It's so hard to believe our boy is 18 and graduated from high school and seminary. It was a special day. We met at Appleby's for dinner. Papaw Ray, Nana, Lucas, Katona, Pete, and I were all there to help Cody celebrate this important achievement. We all toasted to Cody. Then, we drove back to M-town for the graduation. It wasn't until the end that it really hit Cody it was over. He was very emotional. :`( After graduation, we went to Mamaw and Papaw Moore's to celebrate. We watched a tribute video of Cody and had refreshments. It was after 10 before we finally got home. Cody was glad to finally be home. We are so proud of Cody! He graduated as College Ready! However, he is going to wait until he learns a bit about life, paying bills, working, etc. before he starts college. We think he's making a wise choice for now. Congrats Cody! You made it, 4 years of high school and early morning seminary!

Cody's Senior Prom

Cody and Katona went to prom again. This time Cody was driving. The weather was terrible that day, rainy and cold. However, we still managed to get some great pictures of the sweet couple. They went out to dinner with Dylan and Callie at Logan's Steakhouse. After prom, they came home and changed and went back to Project Prom. Katona won a flat screen TV! Cody won some money too!
